Valentine's day for a worthy cause! මනුෂ්යත්වයේ පාගමන By Rtr. Nethmie Jayasooriya ‘Congenital heart disease is a major killer in children under five years of age. For every 1000 new-born babies, 6-8 are born with a congenital heart disease. It is estimated that 2,500-3,000 children are born with a congenital heart disease every year in Sri Lanka. Most of them will need either surgical or catheter-based treatment within the first year of their life. Unless treated in a timely manner some of them will not live to see their first birthday and a majority will die before they reach adulthood.' මනුෂ්යත්වයේ පාගමන was organized by the Little Hearts Foundation of Sri Lanka in collaboration with Shraddha TV. Rotaract Champion League 2017 By Rtr. Piumi Kavindi Rotaract Champion League 2017 is the Grand Inter Club Sporting event in #DR 3220 organised by Sri Lanka and Maldives in collaboration to enhance the unity of all Rotaract Clubs and providing the youthful Rotaractors an arena to reveal their Sportsmanship. Under the theme of #VisionToAction this Sporting Extravaganza is held for the 3rd time as a 3 day event on 5th, 18th and 19th February as Indoor, Outdoor and Athletic events respectively. With the participation of over 500 rotaractors islandwide the event successfully commenced on 5th February 2017 at the indoor stadium of St.Joseph's College by  D.R.R. Rtr . Why I Joined Rotaract. Rtr Dilendra Wijesekara When I initially arrived at my college I was introduced into a dozen, if not many, clubs and among them the Rotaract Club peaked my interest. We know we feel that our Rotaract friends and Rotaract experiences are memorable chapters of our lives. Yet when asked  "Why Rotaract?" we have trouble relating to the depth of our Rotaract experience. In an increasingly complex world, Rotaract provides one of the most basic human needs: the need for friendship and fellowship. Initially, I found Rotaract to be a great avenue for making friends all while giving back to our community. Our Club has been involved in several community services.
