Rotaract Champion League 2017

Rotaract Champion League 2017 is the Grand Inter Club Sporting event in #DR 3220 organised by Sri Lanka and Maldives in collaboration to enhance the unity of all Rotaract Clubs and providing the youthful Rotaractors an arena to reveal their Sportsmanship. Under the theme of #VisionToAction this Sporting Extravaganza is held for the 3rd time as a 3 day event on 5th, 18th and 19th February as Indoor, Outdoor and Athletic events respectively. With the participation of over 500 rotaractors islandwide the event successfully commenced on 5th February 2017 at the indoor stadium of St.Joseph's College by  D.R.R. Rtr. PP Mohamed Husni who highly appreciated the role of rotaractors in service and performance with a youthful spirit. Rotary Youth Services Chair Rtn. Selvaraj Maherakanth and Rotary District Rotaract Committee Chair Rtn. Sanjeewa Fernando graced the occasion.

The first day was allocated for the indoor sports under the categories of Badminton, Carrom, Chess, Futsal and Table Tennis. Displaying a magnificent talent the following Rotaract clubs won the day as follows.

The #RCL2017 was a golden day for the rotaractors of #CCS where we could spread out glory by winning the Badminton category in the 4th place.

Making a Life-Saving Impact : Drops of Hope 23'

On October 6, 2023, the Rotaract Club of College of Chemical Sciences joined forces with the Rotaract Club of Katugastota Region and the Interact Club of Kingswood College to organize a remarkable blood donation campaign, Drops of Hope 23’ , at the Kandy Baptist Church. With over 60 generous donors stepping forward, the campaign proved to be a resounding success. The importance of blood donation cannot be overstated. It is a selfless act of giving that has the power to save lives and offer hope to those in need. Every day, countless individuals face medical emergencies that require blood transfusions. By donating blood, we become the lifeline for these individuals, providing them with a chance at recovery and a brighter future.
