Mojito Stall Fundraiser

It was an exciting day. The atmosphere was electric at the De Soyza International Cricket Stadium. People arrived with smiles on their faces and cheers on their lips. It was the day of the annual CCS vs SAITM big match cricket encounter. You could just taste the energy in the air. And some might even say, that the energy tasted a lot like mojitos.

On the day of the match, the Rotaract Club of CCS had set up a virgin mojito stall for the purpose of raising funds for the upcoming installation. A lot of hard work and thought were put in to it, and after all that effort, it’s safe to say that the stall was a definite hit.

The crowds were clamoring for a sip of the ice cold mojitos, that were perfect for any warm day, and we had a variety to offer them. To name a few were the virgin mojito, the black mojito, the passion mojito and the black current mojito.

Our team members set up the stall and worked with great vigor and enthusiasm, while preparing and handing out mojitos. Not only was it a fun experience but the stall was a success, and we were able to raise an unexpected amount of profit for the installation. Our hard work had paid off, quite literally.

All in all, it was a good day for the College of Chemical Sciences. Although both teams, CCS and SAITM, played a fantastic game, in the end the cricket team of CCS emerged victorious through their amazing display of team effort, and by playing the game with heart and soul, as it should be.
