After much thought, planning and preparation, and countless hours of utmost dedication, the Rotaract Club Of CCS was well and beyond pleased to announce and celebrate the launch of their official website, on the 29th of October 2017 at the PPGL Auditorium within the premises of the College of Chemical Sciences.  


The Chief Guest of the occasion was Dr. Ranmal Gunatilaka and his presence was truly appreciated, because despite his very busy schedule, he still spared us a moment of his precious time to launch the website. Above all it was his enthusiastic response towards the website itself that was contagious and it sparked within the Rotaractors a feverish resolve to do their utmost best in serving the club. 



 Afterwards a general meeting was held and the current president of the Rotaract Club of CCS, Rtr. Dilendra Wijesekara, spoke of the year plan and notified every one of the upcoming projectsthat we have in store, specifically of our project,“Flickmaster”, where the Project Co- chair and Vice president of the Club, Rtr. Thrishal Aturupane, mentioned the fine details of the oncoming project. 


Above all, it is important to give credit where it’s rightly due and we are extremely grateful for the tremendous support and assistance that was so kindly extended to us by Milinda Shanaka de Silva and our very own Rtr. Thashmila Nadeeshani in setting up the website. 
The day concluded with a celebration, a fun night out and a good meal with an energetic team in sky high spirits.

Making a Life-Saving Impact : Drops of Hope 23'

On October 6, 2023, the Rotaract Club of College of Chemical Sciences joined forces with the Rotaract Club of Katugastota Region and the Interact Club of Kingswood College to organize a remarkable blood donation campaign, Drops of Hope 23’ , at the Kandy Baptist Church. With over 60 generous donors stepping forward, the campaign proved to be a resounding success. The importance of blood donation cannot be overstated. It is a selfless act of giving that has the power to save lives and offer hope to those in need. Every day, countless individuals face medical emergencies that require blood transfusions. By donating blood, we become the lifeline for these individuals, providing them with a chance at recovery and a brighter future. The combined effort of the three clubs allowed us to maximize our turnout and reach a wider audience.
