Flick Master 2017

By Rtr. Lihini Jayasinghe

'Flick Master', also familiar to most of us at CCS as the 'Carrom Bash' was held again this year on the 22nd of November by our Rotaract Club chaired by Rtr.Thrishal Aturupane and Rtr.Sahan Gunaratne at the College premises.

The day initiated with registrations for both ‘Omi’ and ‘Carrom’ along with the briefing of the rules and regulations of the respective games supervised by the organizing committee. Omi was an open event, and the categories under carrom were the Men’s, Women’s and Mixed.

The College buzzed with a huge turn up of students from CCS as well as from the Open University, ACBT and IIHE, both competitors and spectators. The event was decorated with an appetizing food and beverage stall comprising home made goods and instant mojitos handled by the Level 02 rotaractors and a Mehendi Stall organized by Rtr. Sarah Hamdoon and Rtr. Sadiya Siraj, filled with a fascinated crowd of ladies getting various designs of henna on them, all inundated in an intense atmosphere of tension, laughter and music.

Prizes were distributed to the winners at the end of the day, all three categories under Carrom were won by participants from the Open University, and Omi by a participant from IIHE. Time flew unnoticed dawning the end of Flick Master 2017 with both victories and defeats along with the fun and exciting memories made.
