IFTAR 2026: A Gathering of Hearts and Blessings

On 17th March 2026, the Rotaract Club of the College of Chemical Sciences, in collaboration with the Students’ Association, brought the college community together for the annual Ramadan Iftar 2026 at the New Malabe Premises. The event was a heartfelt celebration of unity, faith, and cultural understanding, creating a meaningful space where students and members from diverse backgrounds gathered to experience the true spirit of Ramadan.

As attendees arrived, they were welcomed into an atmosphere filled with warmth, reflection, and cultural vibrancy. Beautifully arranged Mehendi stalls and Arabic name-writing stations added a unique traditional touch to the evening, allowing participants to immerse themselves in Ramadan-inspired customs while enjoying moments of connection and engagement. These experiences transformed the event into more than just a gathering, encouraging appreciation for cultural diversity and shared traditions.

The evening also offered valuable opportunities for learning and spiritual reflection. Informative sessions on the significance of Ramadan, the discipline of fasting, and the principles of Islam helped foster deeper understanding among attendees. Interactive discussions, paired with the recitation and translation of a Surah, enriched the atmosphere further by highlighting values of gratitude, patience, and compassion. These moments encouraged participants to reflect on the deeper purpose of the holy month while strengthening bonds within the college community.

As sunset approached, the focus shifted to the sacred act of breaking the fast. Sharing dates and water marked the beginning of Iftar, followed by a traditional meal that symbolized gratitude, peace, and communal harmony. The presence of the Imam and the observance of evening prayers brought spiritual depth to the occasion, creating a serene and memorable conclusion to the gathering.

More than an annual celebration, Ramadan Iftar 2026 served as a reminder of the importance of inclusivity, respect, and togetherness. By blending cultural experiences with spiritual enrichment, the event strengthened relationships and fostered mutual appreciation among all who attended.

Through this impactful initiative, the Rotaract Club of the College of Chemical Sciences once again demonstrated its dedication to building compassionate communities, celebrating diversity, and creating meaningful experiences that leave a lasting impression.
