Carom Bash, Flick Master and now GameBlast ’18, the much anticipated fundraising ‘GAME DAY’ of the Rotaract Club of CCS got bigger and better this time! With the inclusion of even more games, GameBlast ’18 saw a much higher turnout of excited players to the College of Chemical Sciences premises than ever before.

Registrations commenced at 8.00 am with players arriving throughout the morning, the fact that it being a Tuesday not hindering anyone really eager of being there. The day kicked off with the Omi tournament at the rooftop of the Adamantane House and the carrom tournament down below at the basement parking lot. In the meantime, the PUBG tournament commenced in the e-sports room drawing a large crowd of both gamers and spectators alike. Friends turned into foes temporarily as they all battled themselves to be the last man standing.

Sticking to tradition, a food and a mehendi stall were also put up and they surely did help boost up the profits for the day. Gorgeous mehendi patterns were to be seen in the hands of many. The entire arena was jubilant and booming with energy and chatter.

As the day progressed and one by one the competitions came to an end, the entire crowd gathered at the basement for Digestin’, a hot-dog eating competition. The one to gobble the most number of hot-dogs in record time took home the prize! Digestin’ was the climax event of the day with everyone cheering their hearts out soon as the stopwatch went up!

All in all, GameBlast ’18 came to an end on a successful note owing to the invincible efforts of the organizing committee, especially the co-project chairs, Rtr. Manoj Bashuka and Rtr. Sidath Thiranjaya! Surely Tuesday the 30th of October 2018 will go down in CCS Rotaract history as the day of GameBlast ’18, a truly marvelous and memorable occasion!
