NEW YEARS EDITION

The Rotaract movement is built on connection, collaboration, and shared experiences, and Unplugged 3.0 was a perfect reflection of that spirit.

Organized under the Club Service Avenue, Unplugged was created as a platform to bring Rotaractors together through something that goes beyond boundaries: music. Now in its third consecutive edition, Unplugged 3.0 shows how a simple idea has grown into a much-loved tradition that continues to bring clubs closer together.

This New Year themed edition was held on the 3rd of January 2026 and was hosted by the Rotaract Club of APIIT, the Rotaract Club of College of Chemical Sciences, and the Rotaract Club of Colombo Fort. The event was carried out together with several collaborating clubs including the Rotaract Club of Chunnakkam, Rotaract Club of Jaffna Midtown, Rotaract Club of Kandy Hill Capital, Rotaract Club of Kandy Metropolitan, Rotaract Club of Kurunegala, Rotaract Club of Ratnapura, and Rotaract Club of Trincomalee.

What made the event truly special was the way clubs from different parts of Sri Lanka came together with the same goal: to celebrate music and fellowship. It was a great reminder of how collaboration within Rotaract can turn a simple gathering into something memorable.

Unplugged 3.0 took the form of an open mic night, creating a relaxed space where Rotaractors could step up, sing, and simply enjoy the moment. Members from the host clubs, collaborating clubs, and other attending clubs performed throughout the evening, keeping the energy alive with live singing and karaoke sessions. It wasn’t about perfect performances, it was about expression, confidence, and enjoying music together. The event was held at Papparich Nawala, which provided the perfect cozy setting for the evening.

With Rotaractors singing, cheering, and supporting each other throughout the night, the event beautifully captured the spirit of Club Service. It was more than just a music night, it was about friendships, shared memories, and celebrating the talent within our Rotaract community.

As Unplugged continues to grow each year, it stands as a reminder of how powerful simple moments of connection can be when Rotaractors come together.
