World Humanitarian Day 2020

      

World Humanitarian Day commemorates the anniversary of the 2003 bombing of the UN headquarters in Baghdad, Iraq, when 22 humanitarian workers lost their lives.

The corona virus pandemic has increased the number of those in need of humanitarian assistance. Additionally, civilians in conflict zones are routinely killed or wounded in targeted or indiscriminate attacks. At the start of 2019, some 70.8 million people were forcibly displaced by conflict, violence and human rights violations. Climate change further exacerbates people's vulnerability to humanitarian crises. The eight most severe food crises are all related to both conflict and climate shocks.

In 2019, the EU humanitarian aid mobilized almost €2 billion for humanitarian aid operations in over 80 countries around the world. A significant proportion of this went to supporting the conflict-affected populations inside Syria and refugees in neighboring countries and regions.

This year’s World Humanitarian Day honors the front-line health workers -  the Real-Life Heroes - including doctors and nurses, midwives and community volunteers, and those who risk their lives to ensure that everyone has access to health services, testing and treatment, protective equipment, and medication especially during the COVID-19 pandemic and all other emergencies.

They are the people you may know from your village or town, who have been working tirelessly on the ground to bring vaccines to children, monitor the health of elderly, help mothers deliver babies safely, lead contact tracing and surveillance activities, and provide psycho-social support in times of conflict, pandemic, and natural disasters. They are our real-life heroes.

  ලෝක මානුෂීය දිනය සමරනුයේ 2003 ඉරාකයේ බැග්ඩෑඩ් හි එක්සත් ජාතීන්ගේ මූලස්ථානයට බෝම්බ හෙලීමේ සංවත්සරය සමරමින්, මානුෂීය කම්කරුවන් 22 දෙනෙකු ජීවිතක්ෂයට පත්වීම  නිසා ය.

 කොරෝනා වයිරස් වසංගතය නිසා මානුෂීය ආධාර අවශ්‍ය අයගේ සංඛ්‍යාව වැඩි වී තිබේ.  මීට අමතරව, ගැටුම් කලාපවල සිටින සිවිල් වැසියන් ඉලක්කගත හෝ විචක්ෂණශීලී ප්‍රහාරවලින් සාමාන්‍යයෙන් මරා දමනු ලැබේ.  2019 ආරම්භයේදී මිලියන 70.8 ක ජනතාවක් ගැටුම්, ප්‍රචණ්ඩත්වය සහ මානව හිමිකම් උල්ලංඝනය  කිරීම් හේතුවෙන්  අවතැන් වූහ.  දේශගුණික විපර්යාස මගින් මානුෂීය අර්බුදයන්ට මිනිසුන් ගොදුරු වීමේ අවදානම තවදුරටත් වැඩි කරයි.  

 2019 දී යුරෝපා සංගම් ලොව පුරා රටවල් 80 කට අධික සංඛ්‍යාවක මානුෂීය ආධාර මෙහෙයුම් සඳහා ඩොලර් බිලියන 2 කට ආසන්න මුදලක් බලමුලු ගැන්වීය.  මෙයින් සැලකිය යුතු ප්‍රමාණයක් සිරියාව තුළ ගැටුම්වලින් පීඩාවට පත් ජනගහනයට සහ අසල්වැසි රටවල සහ කලාපවල සරණාගතයින්ට සහාය දැක්වීමට යොමු විය.

 මෙම වසරේ ලෝක මානුෂීය දිනය වෛද්‍යවරුන් සහ හෙදියන්, වින්නඹු මාතාවන් සහ ප්‍රජා ස්වේච්ඡා සේවකයන් ඇතුළු සෞඛ්‍යාරක්‍ෂක සේවකයින්ට - සැබෑ ලෝකයේ   වීරයන්ට සහ සෞඛ්‍ය සේවා, පරීක්ෂණ සහ ප්‍රතිකාර, ආරක්‍ෂිත  උපකරණ සහ  විශේෂයෙන් COVID-19 වසංගතය සහ අනෙකුත් සියලුම හදිසි අවස්ථා වලදී මුල් පෙළ ක්‍රියාකාරීත්වය යෙදෙන සියලුම දෙනා සඳහා උපහාරයක් ලෙස පවත්වයි 

 දරුවන්ට එන්නත් ගෙන ඒම, වැඩිහිටියන්ගේ සෞඛ්‍යය නිරීක්ෂණය කිරීම, මව්වරුන්ට ළදරුවන්ට ආරක්ෂිතව ලබා දීමට උපකාර කිරීම, සම්බන්ධතා සොයා ගැනීම සහ නිරීක්ෂණ ක්‍රියාකාරකම් මෙහෙයවීම සහ මනෝවිද්‍යාත්මක කටයුතු සැපයීම සඳහාත්   ගැටුම්, වසංගත හා ස්වාභාවික විපත් වලදී සමාජ සහයෝගය උපරිමයෙන් ලබා දෙමින් ඔවුන් ඔවුන්ගේ වගකීම ඉටු කරයි.ඇත්තෙන් ම  ඔවුන් අපේ සැබෑ ජීවිතයේ වීරයන් වේ .

ஈராக்கின் பக்தாத்தில் உள்ள ஐ.நா தலைமையகத்தில் 2003 ஆம் ஆண்டு குண்டுவெடிப்பில் 22 மனிதாபிமான தொழிலாளர்கள் உயிர் இழந்த நிகழ்வை நினைவுகூறும் நாள் இதுவாகும்.

கொரோனா வைரஸ் தொற்றானது மனிதாபிமான உதவி தேவைப்படுபவர்களின் எண்ணிக்கையை அதிகரித்துள்ளது.கூடுதலாக மோதல் மண்டலங்களில் உள்ள பொதுமக்கள் இலக்கு அல்லது கண்மூடித்தனமான தாக்குதல்களால் கொல்லப்படுகிறார்கள் அல்லது காயப்படுகிறார்கள். 2019 ஆம் ஆண்டின் தொடக்கத்தில் சுமார் 70.8 மில்லியன் மக்கள் மோதல், வன்முறை மற்றும் மனித உரிமை மீறல்களால் வலுக்கட்டாயமாக இடம்பெயர்ந்தனர்.காலநிலை மாற்றம் மனிதாபிமான நெருக்கடிகளுக்கு மக்கள் பாதிக்கப்படுவதை மேலும் அதிகரிக்கிறது. மிக கடுமையான எட்டு உணவு நெருக்கடிகள் அனைத்தும் மோதல் மற்றும் காலநிலை அதிர்ச்சிகள் ஆகியவற்றுடன் தொடர்புடையவை.

2019 ஆம் ஆண்டில், ஐரோப்பிய ஒன்றிய மனிதாபிமான உதவி உலகெங்கிலும் 80க்கும் மேற்பட்ட நாடுகளில் மனிதாபிமான உதவி நடவடிக்கைகளுக்காக கிட்டத்தட்ட 2 பில்லியன் டொலர்களை திரட்டியது.இதில் கணிசமான பகுதியை சிரியாவிற்குள் மோதல்களால் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட மக்களுக்கும் அண்டை நாடுகள் மற்றும் பிராந்தியங்களில் உள்ள அகதிகளுக்கும் வழங்கி ஆதரவளித்தது.

இந்த ஆண்டு உலக மனிதாபிமான தினம் குறிப்பாக COVID-19 தொற்றுநோய் மற்றும் பிற அனைத்து அவசர காலங்களிலும் அனைவருக்கும் சுகாதார சேவைகள், சோதனை மற்றும் சிகிச்சை, பாதுகாப்பு ஆகியவற்றை உறுதி செய்வதற்காக தங்கள் வாழ்க்கையை பணயம் வைத்துள்ள மருத்துவர்கள், செவிலியர்கள், சமூக தன்னார்வலர்கள் உட்பட அனைத்து முன்னணி சுகாதார ஊழியர்களான நிஜ வாழ்க்கை ஹீரோக்களை  கௌரவிக்கிறது.

 மோதல், தொற்றுநோய் மற்றும் இயற்கை பேரழிவு காலங்களில் குழந்தைகளுக்கு தடுப்பூசிகளை கொண்டுவருவதற்கும், முதியோரின் ஆரோக்கியத்தை கண்காணிப்பதற்கும், தாய்மார்கள் குழந்தைகளை பாதுகாப்பாக பிரசவிப்பதற்கும், தொடர்பு தடமறிதல் மற்றும் கண்காணிப்பு நடவடிக்கைகளுக்கு வழிவகுப்பதற்கும், மனோவை வழங்குவதற்கும் அயராது உழைத்து வருகின்றனர்.இவர்களே  எங்கள் நிஜ வாழ்க்கை ஹீரோக்கள்.
